When thinking about how we can live holy lives, I was reminded of a book I read last year by Ronald Rolheiser, The Holy Longing: The Search for a Christian Spirituality. The word “holy” is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as “dedicated or consecrated to God.” The Holy Longing focuses on the meaning of spirituality and describes it as “what we do with the fire inside of us.”
If you have a few extra dollars, I’d encourage you to pick up a copy of The Holy Longing and take the time to read it through. Holiness and spirituality go hand-in-hand, but figuring out how to live those out every day can be confusing. This book will help guide you through those questions, and give you the clarity and understanding to apply it to your own life.
