If someone asked you to explain the meaning of salvation, would you know what to say? The Roman Road is a series of verses from the book of Romans that paves the way to share the Gospel. Here is an abbreviated version. If memorized, these verses will arm you with a method of sharing the Good News!
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
No matter who we are, we all fall short of God’s standard. All of us are sinners.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Sin doesn’t come without a penalty—the consequence of sin is separation from God, unless we receive the gift of His Son.
“But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
When Jesus died for us, He took on the penalty of our sins. Being perfect and holy, death could not have victory over Him. He rose from the grave to open the way for us to Heaven.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
No one is excluded. Everyone can be saved if they choose to believe and receive Him.
